This is not your father's old english poem, but rather a version for a new generation. Written and illustrated in a graphic novel format, this version brings the battles and heroics of the tale into a full color thrilling adventure. It is one thing to read about a hideous monster crashing a late night fête and another to literally see every drop of blood and spilled cup of mead as a hulking monster thrashes through a drinking hall. Although this book is targeted towards young adults (and lives in the YA section), it is worth looking at by anyone interested in sampling graphic novels, epic poems, or hero tales.
